At Esnagami Wilderness Lodge, we pride ourselves on taking proactive steps to both maintain and enhance the quality of our trophy fishery.
 To support our conservation efforts, in 1990 we implemented a Catch and Release program, that to-date has resulted in over 10,000 trophy fish released! Walleye 30 to 32 inches in length and Northern Pike in the 45 to 50 inch range are now being caught every season.

Fish in the following categories must be released:

• Walleye – 24” or longer
• Northern Pike – 30” or longer
• Brook Trout – 18” or longer

Upon releasing a qualifying fish, you automatically become a member of the Esnagami Wilderness Lodge Trophy Club.

As a Trophy Club member you will receive a custom-designed shirt in recognition of your catch. And for each trophy fish that you release, a ballot will be entered into our draw for a chance to win 1 of 4 free trips back to the lodge.

An additional 2 trips are awarded each season to the angler who catches the biggest Walleye and Northern Pike of the season. And, in addition to their shirt and draw ballot, the lucky angler who catches the biggest Brook Trout each will receive a custom-made Esnagami Lodge fly box.
